About Ca’ del Bosco

Ca’ del Bosco was founded in 1968 in Franciacorta, that rolling pocket of Lombardy in northern Italy that’s basically Champagne’s sophisticated, slightly sun‑kissed cousin. The estate quickly became a driving force in getting Franciacorta its DOCG status, and today it’s still one of the region’s most recognizable names. The winery is known for its obsessive attention to its grapes. For instance, the grapes that go into today's wine find sparkling go through their exclusive “berry spa”, a special whirlpool-like wash for grape bunches, consisting of three soaking tanks, followed by thorough drying in a special tunnel. That extra care shows up in the glass, as the wines are clean, focused, and poised, with way less winemaking noise cluttering the fruit.

About The Ca’ del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Extra Brut Franciacorta - 47 Edizione

The Cuvée Prestige Extra Brut is a traditional‑method sparkler built mostly on Chardonnay (75%), with a smaller portion of Pinot Nero (22.5%) and often a touch of Pinot Bianco (2.5%) for structure and a whisper of red‑fruit nuance. The vintage blend here is 77% wines from 2022, 18% reserve wines from 2021, and 5% reserve wines from 2020, sourced from over 240 certified organic vineyards. It spends well over two years on the lees, which gives it that soft, creamy backbone while still keeping the acidity bright and mouthwatering. Moreover, every bottle is marked with a unique identifier to ensure its traceability.

In the glass, it glows a pale gold with a fine, persistent stream of bubbles. The nose is fresh and inviting with crisp green apple, a hint of peach, lemon zest, and a delicate drift of brioche or buttered toast.

On the palate, it’s dry and crisp, with that classic “mouth‑cleansing” acidity that makes you want another sip. You’ll find baked apple, a flash of hazelnut, citrus peel, and a long, clean finish that leaves your mouth feeling bright and ready for more. A subtle mineral edge also keeps it grounded and refreshing. The texture is where this wine really shines. It is creamy‑silky, with those tiny, gentle bubbles that coat your tongue - a truly delightful mousse.

The Ca’ del Bosco’s Cuvée Prestige Extra Brut Franciacorta is a natural aperitif star, but it’s also surprisingly food‑friendly if you know how to lean into it.

If you want to make it feel extra special, crack it for a weekday movie night, an impromptu toast with friends, or as the “just because” bottle that turns an ordinary dinner into something special.
